In addition to their collection of audiobooks on CD, the NPL also provides access to digital audiobooks through Overdrive and RBdigital. Find out more about the NPL's digital audiobook options here.
If you are not a Davidson County resident, you can use your card from your local public library to access digital audiobooks through Tennessee R.E.A.D.S. You can also contact your local library to see what other audiobook options they provide.
LibriVox, founded in 2005, is a community of volunteers from all over the world who record public domain texts: poetry, short stories, whole books, even dramatic works, in many different languages. All recordings are in the public domain in the USA.
Lit2Go is a free online collection of stories and poems in MP3 (audiobook) format. An abstract, citation, playing time, and word count are given for each of the passages. Many of the passages also have a related reading strategy identified. Each reading passage can also be downloaded as a PDF and printed out.

Bookshare® is the world’s largest accessible online library for people with print disabilities. Students with diagnosed disabilities that significantly impair reading may create a free account in order to access Bookshare's library.
LearningAlly is a service for those with learning difficulties. A year's individual subscription costs $65 and includes access to "the world's largest collection of human-narrated audio textbooks and literature," according to their website.
Audible.com is a digital audiobook provider that offers individual subscriptions. You can do a free 30-day trial, and download one free audiobook, before signing up for a monthly subscription.
Libro.fm also offers audiobook subscriptions, sharing the profits with an independent bookstore of your choice!
