Psychology (Van Slyke): Access Vanderbilt Resources

How Do I Search Vanderbilt's Catalog?

The Discover library catalog searches all of the books in the physical collections at Vanderbilt's many libraries, along with most of Vanderbilt's e-books and e-journals. You can find the citations for useful articles this way, though you must be on the Vanderbilt campus and at a library computer in order to view the full text of the articles.

Discover Catalog Search Tips

  • Use the sidebar on the left to focus your search.
  • Under the Show Only menu, choose "Peer-reviewed Journals."
  • Other useful filters in the sidebar include Format, Date, and Subject.
  • Click Advanced Search (next to the search bar) to add more keywords.
  • Save the citation information for any article you want to access when you visit Vanderbilt.

Our Class Visit

We will visit Vanderbilt's Peabody Library during F period on Thursday, Sept. 5th. You'll be able to access articles from all of Vanderbilt's databases while we are there.

Once we arrive, we can use Vanderbilt's Psychology and Human Development LibGuide. This may help you find databases or journals that didn't come up in your off-campus searches.
