This guide will help you identify resources for your World Civilizations research project. If you need help with your research, please contact Ms. Pritchard (kpritchard@usn.org) or Ms. Brown (cbrown@usn.org).

The National History Day Theme for 2023-2024 is "Turning Points in History." Visit the NHD website for more information on the theme and the requirements for an NHD paper.

You will meet with a librarian at least once to discuss your sources and address any questions about your topic or the research process. Meetings will take place from April 15-May 3.

Before Your Meeting

• Look over your teacher's comments so far

• Print out or make a copy of the meeting rubric (if you make a copy, save it to your Google Drive folder)

• Fill out the first 3 items on the rubric

During Your Meeting

• Share your materials and your rubric with the librarian

• Use the rubric to take notes on what is discussed

After Your Meeting

• Share your rubric with your teacher for a homework grade
